For this week, Luke and I produced our first joint video. I was able to get some feedback on my past videos from one of Mr. Simmons friends who does video production for the Chiefs. He told me that the content of my videos was excellent, but that my actual production quality could be improved. He told me how to use a multiband compressor to equalize my audio and create a smoother sound. He also helped me learn how to set my sequence resolution so that my video could be processed at a higher quality. For this video, we decided to talk about last season NFC Championship and specially, about one decision that was mind-boggling. The Packers decided to kick a field goal with just over two minutes left in the game and it ultimately lead to them losing. In the video, we look at what the NFL world might look like if the Packers decided to go for it and actually won the game instead. Luke wrote a script and recorded narration to use over the video whereas I began creating graphics to display our info. I found some footage of the game and of the Packers season as a whole to incorporate as well. The video turned out pretty well and it was interesting working with someone else on a video for the first time. I've created numerous videos by myself, but have never collaborated with someone else on one like that before. It made the whole process a lot easier as I wasn't thinking about every little thing that needed to be accomplish but rather was focused on the end product. This will most likely be the last video we create as we only have so much time and they are the hardest/most time consuming medium to pursue.
